The window is now only secured by a small amount of the PUR bead at the right-hand locating pin.
Use a knife to cut through the final part of the bead.
Installing the rear windshield in the tailgate
Always ensure that a side window is open so that the bonded window does not jump out of position when a door is closed.
When working with PUR adhesive on the body flange, see PUR on body flange .
Clean the area on the window to which PUR adhesive is to be applied with cleaner-H (black cap).
Apply glass activator (yellow cork) and glass primer (green cork) to the same surface. Use plenty of glass primer, but do not let it run.
Let the primer dry until the surface is matte.
Apply PUR rim activator (blue cork) to the remaining PUR bead on the tailgate if the windshield has been removed for more than eight hours.
Apply adhesive to the tailgate.
Note! The top of the windshield must be position first so that it clears the projecting section of the tailgate.
Press the window into place by hand.
Check that the window is aligned with the door.
Secure with tape.
