Pipe/Hose Compressor, Replacing

Pipe/hose compressor, replacing

Preparations

Warning! Follow the safety instructions for work on air conditioning systems. See Refrigerant, safety regulations See: Heating and Air

Read the instructions covering slow and fast leaks. See See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Oil Air
Conditioning (A/C) System, Filling

Always plug the pipes and couplings when working on the climate control system.
Drain the refrigerant from the system. See Refrigerant, draining See: Heating and Air Conditioning/Service and Repair/Refrigerant, Draining.

Removing the pipe/hose from the compressor - condenser

Remove the charge air hose on the right-hand side.
Disconnect the pipe/hose from the compressor.

Remove:

-

1 screw from the hose/pipe coupling between the compressor and the condenser (see the illustration)

the pipe from the retaining clip on the condenser. Carefully put the pipe to one side.
