Alternator: Service and Repair

Generator (GEN), replacing

Removal

Preparatory work

Ignition off

-

Disconnect the battery negative lead. See Battery, disconnecting See: Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures/Battery, Disconnecting

Remove the auxiliaries belt. See

Remove the power steering pump. See Power steering pump, replacing See: Steering and Suspension/Steering/Power Steering/Power Steering
Pump/Service and Repair

Disconnect the turbocharger hose from the cooling system. Push the hose to one side.
