Checking floats and wiring
Check that the floats for the fuel levels sensors have not stuck.
Check the cable inside the fuel tank between the two sensors. Check for a short-circuit to supply voltage. Check for a short-circuit to ground. Check for
an open-circuit.
Remedy as necessary.
