Preparatory work
Disconnect the battery negative cable. See: Battery, disconnecting See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service and Repair/Procedures/Battery,
Disconnecting.
This work requires that the vehicle be raised. See Jacking points, body See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair.
Remove:

the engine cooling fan (FC). See Engine cooling fan (FC), replacing, B8444S See: Cooling System/Radiator Cooling Fan/Service and Repair

Sensor/Switch/Coolant Temperature Sensor/Switch (For Computer)/Service and Repair.
Exposing
Exposing the cylinder head, cylinders 1, 3, 5 and 7 (Bank 1)
Remove:
-
the hose clamp for the upper coolant hose, place the coolant hose to one side.

the 2 x connectors for the camshaft position (CMP) sensors
Remove the coolant hoses and place them to one side.
