Removal
Removing the front sub-frame
Remove the front sub-frame. See: Sub-frame front, replacing, B8444S See: Body and Frame/Frame/Subframe/Front Subframe/Service and Repair.
Removing the engine cooling fan
Remove the electric cooling fan. See Engine cooling fan (FC), replacing, B8444S See: Cooling System/Radiator Cooling Fan/Service and Repair.
Removing the front engine pad
Remove:
-
the 3 M10 screws of the engine pad bracket in the engine block
-
the engine pad with protective plate
-
the connectors from the heated oxygen sensors and detach the lead from the clips and clamps.
Removal of exhaust manifold, cylinder 1, 3, 5 and 7 (bank 1)
