Description: 
Bearing noise from gear drive housing that is most noticeable around 1500 - 1800 rpm in neutral gear. This may be due to a faulty carrier bearing for the
idler gear drive.

Service:
Verify that the noise actually comes from the gear housing using a stethoscope. Replace the idler shaft gear set following the replacement procedure
below.
