Rain Sensor: Testing and Inspection

Rain sensor, check

Function test

-

Ignition in position II.

-

Control lever windshield wiper in resting position.

Activate the rain sensor function by pressing in the button on the wiper lever. Then the windshield wipers run once back and forth.

Spray water on the outside of the windscreen (using a spray bottle) where the rain sensor is positioned

The rain sensor should start the windscreen wiper function and sweep over the windscreen

Hint: Carry out the function test 3 times.

If the check is carried out with continuous sprays of water, the windscreen wiper will function until the windscreen above the rain sensor is dry.
