Removal

Removing the gear selector knob

Remove the gear selector knob in accordance with: Gear selector knob, replacing See: Gear Selector Knob, Replacing (standard) or in accordance with:
Gear selector knob, Geartronic, replacement See: Gear Selector Knob, Geartronic, Replacement (geartronic).

Removing the panel

Move the gear selector/gear lever to a rear position.
Detach the panel at the rear edge using a weatherstrip tool.
Detach the panel carefully at the front edge.
