About Yugo
The Yugo was a small hatchback built by Zastava in Yugoslavia from 1980 to 2008, designed as a shortened Fiat 128; more than 794,000 were made. Malcolm Bricklin imported it to the United States from 1985 to 1992 as the Yugo GV, selling 141,651. It was criticised for its safety and reliability but has gained a cult following.
