Removing

• ● Ribbed belt must be removed .

• ‒ → Remove noise insulation panels (centre and right side) -arrows-.

• ‒ → Unbolt vibration damper.

Note:

When loosening and tightening the bolts securing the vibration damper, counter-hold central bolt with a ring spanner.

Installing

Install in reverse sequence; note the following points:

• ‒ Use new bolts for securing.
• ‒ → When installing the vibration damper, use only genuine spare bolts:

• ‒ The vibration damper can only be installed in one position. The hole -arrow- in the vibration damper must fit over the projection on the toothed belt sprocket.
• Tighten vibration damper bolts as follows:
• ‒ For bolts installed of strength grade 8.8: replace and tighten to 10 Nm + 90°
• ‒ For bolts installed of strength grade 10.9: tighten to 40 Nm
