  • ◆ Suspension strut tensioner V.A.G 1752

  • ◆ Shock absorber set T10001

Notes:

  • ◆ Assignment of spring to vehicle => Vehicle data sticker, Page 00-2
  • ◆ Same version must always be fitted on left and right.
  • ◆ If different versions are fitted in vehicle, springs/shock absorbers must be replaced in pairs.

Removing

  • ● Suspension strut removed
  • ‒ → Apply tensioner V.A.G 1752/1 with spring holder insert V.A.G 1752/4 to coil spring.
  • ‒ Make sure coil spring is correctly positioned in adapter V.A.G 1752/4 -arrow-.

  • ‒ → Pre-tension coil spring with tensioner -V.A.G 1752/1- until upper spring plate is free.
  • ‒ Unscrew hexagon nut from piston rod.
  • ‒ Detach components of suspension strut and coil spring with tensioner V.A.G 1752/1.
  •     1 -    Ratchet handle (commercially available)
  •     2 -    T 10001/8
  •     3 -    T 10001/11
  •     4 -    T 10001/5
  •     5 -    V.A.G 1752/1 Spring tensioner
  •     6 -    V.A.G 1752/4 Holder

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

  • ‒ → Position coil spring with tensioner V.A.G 1752/1 on spring seat.
    • ‒ End of spring winding must make contact with stop -arrow-
