Erasing fault memory

Note

If fault memory cannot be erased, interrogate fault memory again and rectify fault.

Requirements

l	Fault memory interrogated → Chapter.

l	All faults rectified.

After fault memory has been interrogated:

Indicated on -VAS 5051 A-:

–	From list -1- select function “05 - Erase fault memory”.

Indicated on -VAS 5051 A-:

1 -	No display (prior to erasing) or

-	Fault memory erased

Note

If the message “Fault memory not yet interrogated” appears in display zone -1-, this means that the test sequence has not been precisely observed. Fault memory cannot be erased until it has been interrogated.

2 -	Note: Do you want to execute the function? Note: Data will be erased!

–	Touch OK key in display -2-.

–	Terminate function “05 - Erasing fault memory” by touching ← key.
