  1383 A
• ◆ Gearbox support 3282
• ◆ Adjustment plate 3282/19

Removing

Note:

If both gearbox supports have been removed, the gearbox must be supported as described. If only one of the gearbox supports has been removed, the jack does not have to be used to support the gearbox.

• ‒ → Align gearbox support 3282 with adjustment plate 3282/19 to support automatic gearbox 01V and attach onto lifter V.A.G 1383 A.

Note:

The symbols on the adjustment plate indicate the required supports for the automatic gearbox 01V (the arrow points in the direction of travel).

• ‒ → Move jack V.A.G 1383 A with gearbox support 3282 under the gearbox and support gearbox.

Note:

If gearbox support 3282 is not available, gearbox can be supported using engine and gearbox jack V.A.G 1383 A and universal support V.A.G 1359/2.

Right gearbox support:

• ‒ → Remove heat shield -C-.

Note:

With 6-cylinder TDI engines the right heat shield is not installed.

• ‒ Release gearbox support -D- by unscrewing bolts -A- from gearbox.

Left gearbox support:

• ‒ → Remove heat shield -C-.

Note:

With 4 cylinder petrol engines the left heat shield is not installed.

• ‒ Release left gearbox support -D- by unscrewing bolts -A- from gearbox.

Gearbox support on left and right

• ‒ → Remove gearbox support -E-.

D - gearbox mounting (conventional)

H - hydraulic gearbox mounting

Note:

In hydraulic gearbox mounting -H- the positions -C- and -B- are omitted as the bolt. -G- is screwed directly into gearbox mounting. -G-.

Installing

Install in reverse order.

→ Tightening torques for gearbox support on left and right

→ Tightening torques for gearbox support on left

→ Tightening torques for gearbox support on right
