| Engine oil temperature at least 60 °C. |

| Vehicle must be level (horizontal) |

| Wait a few minutes after switching off the engine to allow the oil to flow back into the sump. |

| Pull out the oil dipstick, wipe off with a clean cloth and insert it again as far as it will go. |

| Pull out the dipstick again and read off the oil level. |
