Coupling Rod

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Torque wrench (40-200 Nm) (VAG 1332)

Removing

-

Place the vehicle on a hoist. Refer to => [ Positioning Vehicle on the Hoist and on its Wheels ] See: Service and Repair/Procedures/Positioning
Vehicle on the Hoist and on its Wheels.

Remove the wheel covers, remove the cover cap on light alloy wheels (removal hook in vehicle tool kit).

Remove the wheel.

Remove the coupling rod bolt - arrow - from the stabilizer bar.

-

Disconnect the threaded connection - 1 - between the coupling rod and trailing arm and remove the brake line bracket - 2 -.

-

To remove the bolt from the coupling rod, push wheel bearing housing downward.

Remove the coupling rod.

Installing

Installation is performed in the reverse order of removal. Observe the following when doing so:
