Fluid Pan: Service and Repair
09LA Transmission

Oil Pan

Special tools, testers and auxiliary items required

‹› Drip tray (V.A.G 1306)

‹› Protective glasses

Removing

‹› General repair notes. Refer to => [ General Repair Information ] See: Service and Repair/Procedures/General Repair Information. 

‹› Rules of cleanliness for working on automatic transmissions. Refer to => [ Clean Working Conditions ] See: Service Precautions/Clean Working

Conditions.

-

Place drip tray (V.A.G 1306) underneath transmission.

CAUTION!
Wear protective glasses.

Remove ATF drain plug - 1 -.

-

Drain ATF.

‹› Observe disposal regulations.

‹› The engine must not be started and the vehicle must not be towed if there is no ATF in the transmission!

Remove the 23 oil pan bolts in a diagonal sequence and remove oil pan.

Installing

Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:
