Micro-switch (soft top in convertible top
compartment) - removing and installing or
replacing
Remove side panelling.
S3 micro-switch "soft top stowed"
Micro-switch cuts in once soft top is stowed in convertible top
compartment.
Note:
convertible top lid is not closed until it receives a signal from
this micro-switch.
In addition, the rear-windscreen fan is switched off once soft top is
stowed in convertible top compartment.
For further instructions on troubleshooting, refer to 54 90
and Vehicle Electric/Electronic Test Plan, 3 Series E36.
