Parking Brake Lever Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the exhaust muffler intermediate heat shield. Refer to Exhaust Muffler Intermediate Heat Shield Replacement   (See: Engine, Cooling and

Exhaust/Exhaust System/Muffler/Service and Repair/Exhaust Muffler Intermediate Heat Shield Replacement).

2. Pull the rear park brake cables forward and disengage the front park brake cable from the equalizer (1).

3. Remove the front park brake cable retainer nut (1).
4. Release the front park brake cable pass through grommet (2) from the driveline tunnel by pressing the grommet inward.
5. Lower the vehicle.
6. Remove the front floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement   (See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Console/Service and
