Evaporative Emission Hoses/Pipes Replacement - Engine (Chassis/Tank)

Removal Procedure

1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle  (See: Maintenance/Service Intervals) .
2. For vehicles equipped with an automatic transmission, remove the right muffler . Refer to Exhaust Muffler Replacement - Right Side  (See:

Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Exhaust System/Muffler/Service and Repair) .

3. Remove the evaporative emission (EVAP) vent valve (2) from the bracket (1).

4. Disconnect the rear EVAP purge pipe (1) at the chassis EVAP purge pipe (3).
5. Cap the chassis EVAP purge pipe.

6. Remove the right rear wheelhouse panel. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Liner Panel Replacement  (See: Body and Frame/Fender/Rear Fender/Rear

Fender Liner/Service and Repair) .

7. Remove the EVAP canister access cover.

8. Disconnect the EVAP purge pipe at the canister.
9. Remove the rear EVAP purge pipe.
