Throttle Valve Cable/Linkage: Adjustments
4 Speed-MS7 Automatic Transmission
1. Inspect the TV cable for deflection or looseness.
2. Inspect the throttle valve position. Verify that the valve is fully closed.
3. Measure the TV cable boot-to-inner cable stopper (4) clearance with a feeler gage. If the clearance is more than 1.0 mm (0.04 inch), adjust the TV
cable.
4. Adjust the TV cable boot-to-inner cable stopper clearance by turning the TV cable adjustment nuts (1,2) until a clearance of 1.0 mm (0.04 inch)
has been reached. You may also use the accelerator cable adjustment nuts in order to adjust the TV cable boot-to-inner cable stopper clearance, if
further adjustment on the TV cable adjustment nuts is not available.

Tighten the TV cable locknut and adjust the nut to 8 Nm (71 inch lbs.).
