Yaw Rate Sensor: Service and Repair
Dynamics Sensor - Installation

INSTALLATION

NOTE: The Occupancy Restraint Module (ORC) (4) is directly behind the vehicle dynamics sensor (2). Care must be taken while working

near the ORC to avoid jostling or bumping the module.

1. Connect the wiring harness connector (3) to the dynamics sensor (2).
2. Install the dynamics sensor (2) over the studs mounted to the floor pan tunnel.
3. Install the two mounting nuts (1). Tighten the nuts to 9 Nm (80 in. lbs.).
4. Move carpeting back into original location.
5. Install the shifter housing See: Body and Frame/Interior Moulding / Trim/Trim Panel/Service and Repair/Shifter Housing - Installation 
6. Connect the battery negative cable to the battery post. It is important that this be performed properly See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Service

and Repair/Procedures/Battery Reconnection 

7. Perform the Verification Test and clear any faults See: Powertrain Management/Computers and Control Systems/Testing and

Inspection/Diagnostic Trouble Code Tests and Associated Procedures/Verification Tests
