Tie Rod: Service and Repair

1. Raise and support vehicle.
2. Remove tie rod end attaching nut.
3. Using tool T.Av.476 or equivalent, disconnect tie rod end from steering knuckle.
4. Remove nuts and bolts attaching steering bracket to the steering gear rack assembly. The attaching nuts are located on the underside of the rack

assembly.

5. Remove nuts and bolts attaching tie rod to the steering bracket.
6. Remove tie rod assembly.
7. Reverse procedure to install.
