Drain the cooling system.

Remove the air cleaner outlet pipe. - Loosen the air cleaner outlet pipe retaining clamps.

Remove the ignition coil pack.

Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s). 4 - Engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor electrical connector 8 - Coolant shutoff valve electrical connector 10 - Coolant shutoff valve O-ring seal 11 - Coolant outlet connector 12 - Coolant outlet connector gasket 6. Detach the coolant expansion tank to coolant outlet connector coolant hose retaining clip from the coolant hose. | Item 2 : Coolant expansion tank to cylinder head coolant hose | | -
Using a suitable tool, disconnect the coolant expansion tank to coolant outlet connector coolant hose. | Item 3 : Coolant outlet connector to heater core coolant hose | | -
Using the special tool, disconnect the coolant outlet connector to heater core coolant hose. | Item 6 : Coolant outlet connector to radiator lower coolant hose | | -
Using the special tool, disconnect the coolant outlet connector to radiator coolant hose. | Item 7 : Coolant shutoff valve to thermostat housing coolant hose | | -
Using the special tool, disconnect the coolant shutoff valve to thermostat housing coolant hose. | |
