Removal and Installation
Removal
Pull off the selector lever assembly bezel (push-fit).
Unscrew and remove the Allen screw.
Unclip the tailgate switch and pull off the connector.
Pull the lamp out of the selector lever assembly cover.
Remove the center console
Unclip the screw covers (right and left).
Remove the bolts.
Slide the center console out of the guides.
Detach the shift cable from the selector lever assembly.
Unclip the cable nipple from the selector lever.
Unclip the shift cable from the selector lever assembly. Press the shift cable gaiter outwards out of the bodywork.
Raise the vehicle.
Pull the shift cable out of the bodywork.
Unclip the yoke retainer, swing it downwards and pull it out.
Unclip the shift cable from the bracket.
Detach the shift cable from the automatic transmission.
Installation
Lower the vehicle.
Guide the shift cable through the bodywork and insert the rubber gaiter.
Clip the shift cable into the selector lever assembly.
NOTE:
The shift cable nipple hole is tapered.
Clip the shift cable nipple onto the selector lever.
Attach the shift cable to the selector lever assembly.
Install the center console
Slide the center console into the guides.
Screw in the bolts.
Clip the cover into place.
Insert the lamp into the selector lever assembly cover.
Push on the selector lever assembly bezel (push-fit).
Screw in the Allen key.
Push on the tailgate switch connector and insert the switch.
Raise the vehicle.
Install the shift cable.
Clip the shift cable into the bracket.
Align the yoke with the selector lever, insert the retainer and clip it in.
Lower the vehicle.
