Remover/Installer, Hose Clamp

1. Remove the left-hand headlamp assembly.
   For additional information, refer to: Headlamp Assembly (417-01 Exterior Lighting, Removal and Installation).
   

2. Disconnect the power steering pump electrical connectors.

3. Remove the left-hand front wheel and tire.
   For additional information, refer to: Wheel and Tire (204-04 Wheels and Tires, Removal and Installation).
   

4. Remove the left-hand front fender splash shield.

5. 

   CAUTION:Cap the power steering pump outlet to prevent fluid loss or dirt ingress.
   

   CAUTION:Cap the power steering pump to steering gear pressure line to prevent fluid loss or dirt ingress.
   

   NOTE:Note the position of the power steering pump to steering gear pressure line to aid installation.
   Disconnect the power steering pump to steering gear pressure line from the power steering pump.
   • Allow the power steering fluid to drain into a container.

6. 

   CAUTION:Cap the steering gear to power steering fluid reservoir return line to prevent fluid loss or dirt ingress.
   

   CAUTION:Cap the power steering fluid reservoir to prevent fluid loss or dirt ingress.
   Using the special tool, disconnect the steering gear to power steering fluid reservoir return line from the power steering fluid reservoir.
   • Allow the power steering fluid to drain into a container.

7. Lower the vehicle to gain access to the power steering pump.

8. Remove the power steering pump.
   1. Remove the power steering pump retaining nuts.
   2. Remove the power steering pump rubber mountings.

1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
