Locking Tool, Flywheel

1. Remove the clutch disc and pressure plate. For additional information, refer to Section  308-01A Clutch / 308-01B Clutch / 308-01D Clutch.

2. Using the special tool, remove the flywheel.
   • Remove the flywheel retaining bolts.
   • Discard the flywheel retaining bolts.

3. Remove the special tool.

4. Remove the crankshaft rear seal carrier.
   • Discard the crankshaft rear seal carrier.

1. Clean the crankshaft journal.

2. 

   NOTE:Install a new crankshaft rear seal carrier.
   

   NOTE:A new crankshaft rear seal carriers is supplied with an installation sleeve which must be removed following installation.
   

   NOTE:Do not lubricate the seal or the crankshaft journal.
   Install the crankshaft rear seal carrier.

3. 

   NOTE:Install new flywheel retaining bolts.
   Using the special tool, install the flywheel.
   • Tighten the bolts in the sequence shown in two stages.
   • Stage 1: 30 Nm
   • Stage 2: 80 degrees

4. Remove the special tool.

5. Install the clutch disc and pressure plate. For additional information, refer to Section  308-01A Clutch / 308-01B Clutch / 308-01D Clutch.
