Removal and Installation

Super DOT 4 brake fluid
ESD-M6C57-A 
CAUTION:
CAUTION:If brake fluid is spilt on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water.
  1. Remove the wheel and tire. For additional information, refer to Section  204-04 Wheels and Tires.

2. Remove the components in the order indicated in the following illustration(s) and table(s).

3. To install, reverse the removal procedure.

  1. Bleed the brake system. For additional information, refer to Section  206-00 Brake System - General Information.

Removal Details

Item 2 : Brake hose to brake caliper union

  1. Loosen the brake hose to brake caliper union.
    1. Using a suitable brake hose clamp, clamp the brake hose.
    1. Loosen the union.

Item 6 : Inner brake pad

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The inner brake pad is secured to the brake caliper piston by a spring clip.
    Remove the inner brake pad.

Item 7 : Brake caliper

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Cap the brake hose to prevent fluid loss or dirt ingress.
    Disconnect the brake hose from the caliper.
    • Rotate the caliper counterclockwise.

Installation Details

Item 6 : Inner brake pad

NOTE:
NOTE:Make sure the brake pad contact points are clean and free from contamination.

Item 5 : Outer brake pad

NOTE:
NOTE:Remove the adhesive foil from the rear of the brake pad.

NOTE:Make sure the brake pad contact points are clean and free from contamination.
