Remove the accessory drive belt. For additional information, refer to Accessory Drive Belt in this section. | Vehicles with 1.4L or 1.6L (100 PS) engine | -
Remove the accessory drive belt idle pulley. | Vehicles with 1.6L (90 PS), 1.8L or 2.0L engine | -
Remove the coolant expansion tank retaining bolt. | | -
Detach the coolant expansion tank and position it to one side. | | -
Detach the power steering reservoir and position it to one side. | | -
CAUTION:Insert the wooden block between the oil pan and trolley jack. NOTE:The engine must be raised slightly in order to remove the accessory drive belt idler pulley. Position a trolley jack and wooden block under the oil pan and raise the engine so that the front engine mounting is free from load. | Vehicles with 2.0L Duratec RS engine | -
