Removal and Installation

Removal

All vehicles
  1. Remove the steering column.
    For additional information, refer to: Steering Column (211-04 Steering Column, Removal and Installation).

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that the pedals are kept in the rest position and are not depressed or moved during the removal of the brake pedal position (BPP) and clutch switch. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the switches.
    Remove the BPP switch and clutch switch from the brake pedal bracket.
    1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.
    1. Remove the switches.

  1. Disconnect the accelerator pedal electrical connector.
Vehicles with manual transmission

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Cap the clutch supply hose to prevent fluid loss or dirt ingress.
    Disconnect the supply hose from the clutch master cylinder.
    1. Remove the clip.
    1. Disconnect the clutch supply hose.
All vehicles

  1. Detach the brake booster actuating rod from the brake pedal.
    1. Remove the clip.
    1. Remove the pin.

  1. Remove the brake booster retaining nuts.

  1. Remove the brake pedal and bracket retaining bolts.

Installation

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that the pedals are kept in the rest position and are not depressed or moved during the installation of the brake pedal position (BPP) and clutch switch. Failure to follow this instruction may result in damage to the switches.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
