Removal and Installation

General Equipment
Audio unit removal tools (GV3301)

Removal
  1. Detach the navigation system display module from the instument panel.
    1. Using audio unit removal tools, unlock the left-hand side of the navigation system display module.
    1. Using audio unit removal tools, unlock the right-hand side of the navigation system display module.
    1. Detach the navigation system display module.

  1. Disconnect the global positioning system (GPS) antenna cable electrical connector (navigation system display module shown removed for clarity).
    • Rotate the GPS antenna cable electrical connector locking tang 90 degrees to release.

  1. Disconnect the navigation system display module electrical connector (navigation system display module shown removed for clarity).
    1. Press the locking tang.
    1. Release the locking arm.

  1. Disconnect the navigation system display module electrical connectors (navigation system display module shown removed for clarity).

  1. Disconnect the navigation system display module antenna cable electrical connector and remove the navigation system display module (navigation system display module shown removed for clarity).

Installation
  1. Connect the navigation system display module antenna cable electrical connector (navigation system display module shown removed for clarity).

  1. Connect the navigation system display module electrical connectors (navigation system display module shown removed for clarity).

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Make sure the navigation system display module electrical connector is inserted fully into the navigation system display module before the locking arm is locked.
    Connect the navigation system display module electrical connector (navigation system display module shown removed for clarity).
    1. Install the navigation system display module electrical connector.
    1. Rotate the locking arm into position.

  1. Connect the GPS antenna cable electrical connector (navigation system display module shown removed for clarity).
    • Rotate the GPS antenna cable electrical connector locking tang 90 degrees into position.

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:The navigation system display module wiring harness must not become trapped when installing the navigation system display module.
    NOTE:
    NOTE:The navigation system display module rear support must engage with the navigation system display module support bracket.
    Install the navigation system display module.
