Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Disconnect the battery negative cable. For additional information, refer to Section 414-01 Battery, Mounting and Cables.
  1. Remove the air cleaner and the air cleaner outlet pipe. For additional information, refer to Section 303-12 Intake Air Distribution and Filtering.

  1. Disconnect the electrical connectors.

  1. Remove the bolts.

  1. Remove the bolt.
  1. Raise and support the vehicle. For additional information, refer to Section 100-02 Jacking and Lifting.

  1. Remove the screws and the control module.
  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:The 4x2 module cannot be interchanged with the 4x4 module. The 4x4 module is interchangeable with the 4x2 module.
    To install, reverse the removal procedure.
