NOTE:Shift the transaxle selector lever into "P" (park) position. | | -
NOTE:Use an Allen key to stop the piston rod from turning. Slacken the right-hand suspension strut nut by five turns. | | -
Remove the wheelhouse cover. | | -
CAUTION:Protect the ball joint seal using a soft cloth to prevent damage. CAUTION:Do not damage the ABS sensor ring. Detach the lower arm from the wheel knuckle. | | -
CAUTION:Support the halfshaft. The inner joint must not be bent more than 18 degrees. The outer joint must not be bent more than 45 degrees Detach the intermediate shaft from the transaxle and secure it to one side. - Detach the intermediate shaft center bearing from the carrier.

Using the special tools, remove the halfshaft oil seal. - Install the special tool.
- Install the special tool.
- Remove the halfshaft oil seal.
- Discard the halfshaft oil seal

General note. - Renew self-locking nuts and snap-rings.

NOTE:Install a new halfshaft oil seal. Using the special tool, install the halfshaft oil seal. | | -
CAUTION:Support the halfshaft. The inner joint must not be bent more than 18 degrees. The outer joint must not be bent more than 45 degrees. CAUTION:Do not damage the halfshaft oil seal. CAUTION:Make sure the snap ring is correctly seated. Attach the halfshaft and the intermediate shaft to the transaxle. - Attach the intermediate shaft center bearing carrier.

CAUTION:Do not damage the ball joint seal and the ABS sensor ring. Attach the right-hand lower arm to the wheel knuckle. | | -
Install the wheelhouse cover. | | -
NOTE:Use an Allen key to stop the piston rod from turning. Tighten the right-hand suspension strut nut. | | |
