NOTE:Shift the transaxle selector lever into "P" (park) position. | | -
NOTE:Use an Allen key to stop the piston rod from turning. Slacken the left-hand suspension strut nut by five turns. | | -
Remove the wheelhouse cover. | | -
CAUTION:Protect the ball joint seal using a soft cloth to prevent damage. CAUTION:Do not damage the ABS sensor ring. Detach the lower arm from the wheel knuckle. | | -
CAUTION:Support the halfshaft. The inner joint must not be bent more than 18 degrees. The outer joint must not be bent more than 45 degrees Detach the left-hand halfshaft from the transaxle and secure it to one side. | | -
Using the special tool, remove the halfshaft oil seal. - Install the special tool.
- Install the special tool.
- Remove the halfshaft oil seal.
- Discard the halfshaft oil seal.

General note. - Renew self-locking nuts and snap-rings.

Using the special tool, install the halfshaft oil seal. | | -
CAUTION:Support the halfshaft. The inner joint must not be bent more than 18 degrees. The outer joint must not be bent more than 45 degrees. CAUTION:Do not damage the halfshaft oil seal. CAUTION:Make sure the snap ring is correctly seated. Attach the halfshaft to the transaxle. | | -
CAUTION:Do not damage the ball joint seal and the ABS sensor ring. Attach the left-hand lower arm to the wheel knuckle. | | -
Install the wheelhouse cover. | | -
NOTE:Use an Allen key to stop the piston rod from turning. Tighten the left-hand suspension strut nut. | | |
