Removal and Installation

Removal

  1. Remove the audio unit. For additional information, refer to Section  415-01A Audio Unit.

  1. Remove the floor console side trim panels.
    1. Remove the retaining screw.
    1. Detach the retaining clips.

  1. Disconnect the speaker electrical connector (if equipped).

  1. Remove the gearshift lever trim panel (manual transaxle gearshift shown).
    1. Pull the trim panel upwards to release the rear retaining clips.
    1. Pull the trim panel rearwards to release the front retaining clips.
    1. Detach the gearshift boot from the gearshift lever.

  1. Remove the floor console trim panel upper retaining screws (manual transaxle gearshift shown).

  1. Remove the floor console trim panel side retaining screws on both sides.

  1. Remove the floor console trim panel.
    1. Disconnect the liftgate or luggage compartment remote release switch electrical connector (if equipped).
    1. Disconnect the climate controlled seat switch electrical connector.

  1. Remove the climate controlled seat switch.
    • Release the locking tangs.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
