Removal and Installation Special Tool(s) | Expander, Teflon Seal 13-015 | | Remover, Power Steering Pump Pulley 13-022 | | Installer, Camshaft Pulley 21-192 | Removal CAUTION:Disconnect battery negative lead. | -
Detach the power steering pump drive belt. - Rotate the belt tensioner in a clockwise direction.
- Detach the belt and release the tensioner.

Remove the power steering pump pulley. | | -
NOTE:Using a suitable brake pipe clamp, compress the hose. Disconnect the hose from the power steering pump. - Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

Disconnect the high-pressure pipe union. - Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

Remove the power steering pump. | Installation All Vehicles | -
NOTE:If installing a new pump, the unions that are supplied fitted to the pump should be removed and retained for future use. Install a new O-ring seal. - Push the O-ring seal onto the tool.
- Locate the tool onto the union and push on the O-ring seal.

Install the power steering pump. | | -
Install the high-pressure pipe union. | | -
CAUTION:Make sure the pulley is flush with the end of the pump shaft. Install the pulley. | Vehicles with Air Conditioning | -
Install the power steering pump drive belt. | Vehicles without Air Conditioning | -
Install the power steering pump drive belt. | All Vehicles | -
Connect the battery negative lead. | |
