Remover, Power Steering Pump Pulley

1. Remove the right-hand headlamp assembly. For additional information, refer to Section  417-01 Exterior Lighting.

2. Detach the power steering pump drive belt.
   1. Rotate the belt tensioner in a clockwise direction.
   2. Detach the belt and release the tensioner.

3. Remove the power steering pump pulley.

4. 

   NOTE:Using a suitable brake pipe clamp, compress the hose.
   Disconnect the hose from the power steering pump.
   • Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

5. Disconnect the high-pressure pipe union.
   • Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

6. Remove the power steering pump.
   • Remove the four bolts.

   NOTE:If installing a new pump, the unions that are supplied fitted to the pump should be removed and retained for future use.
   Install a new O-ring seal.
   1. Push the O-ring seal onto the tool.
   2. Locate the tool onto the union and push on the O-ring seal.

2. Install the power steering pump.

3. Install the high-pressure pipe union.

4. Install the hose.

5. 

   CAUTION:Make sure the pulley is flush with the end of the pump shaft.
   Install the pulley.

6. Install the power steering pump drive belt.

7. Install the power steering pump drive belt.

8. Install the right-hand headlamp assembly. For additional information, refer to Section  417-01 Exterior Lighting.

9. Connect the battery negative lead.

10. Bleed the power steering system. For additional information, refer to Section  211-00 Steering System - General Information.
