Removal and Installation
Remove

WARNING:

Do not smoke or carry lighted tobacco or open flame of any type when working on or near any fuel related components. Highly flammable vapors are always present and may ignite. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

WARNING:

This procedure involves fuel handling. Be prepared for fuel spillage at all times and always observe fuel handling precautions. Failure to follow these instructions may result in personal injury.

WARNING:

The fuel pressure must be released before attempting any repairs. Failure to follow this instruction may result in personal injury.

CAUTION:

All disconnected lines and unions must be protected to prevent contamination.

CAUTION:

Disconnect the battery ground cable.
1. Remove the fuel filter. For additional information refer to Fuel Filter in this section.

2. Remove the fuel filter housing.

3. Remove and discard the fuel filter element and O‐ring seal.
Install

WARNING:

4. Install a new fuel filter element and O‐ring seal.

5. Install the fuel filter housing.
6. Install the fuel filter.
7. Prime the fuel filter by re‐fuelling the fuel tank.
8. Switch the ignition ON and carry out a leak test. For additional information refer to Leak Test in this section.
