Remove

CAUTION:

Disconnect the battery negative lead.

1. Raise the vehicle and drain the cooling system (refer to Operation Number 24 122 0).

2. Disconnect the radiator bottom hose. Disconnect the lower automatic transmission cooling hose (if fitted).
   Drain any displaced fluid into a suitable container.

3. Remove the lower fan shroud and radiator crossmember retaining bolts.
4. Lower the vehicle.

5. Release the front direction indicator lamp spring clip (both sides).

6. Detach the front direction indicator lamp (both sides).

CAUTION:

When disconnecting multiplugs do not pull on the wiring; pull on the multiplug body.

7. Disconnect the front direction indicator lamp multiplug (both sides).
8. Disconnect the headlamp washer pipes (if fitted).

9. Remove the radiator grille.
1. Remove the retaining screws.
2. Disconnect the supporting clips.

10. Disconnect the radiator from the radiator crossmember.

11. Detach the hood release cable and shield.

12. Remove the radiator crossmember.

13. Disconnect the radiator top hose.

14. Disconnect the expansion tank hose. Disconnect the upper transmission cooling hose (if fitted).
Vehicles with air conditioning

CAUTION:

When disconnecting multiplugs do not pull on the wiring; pull on the multiplug body.

15. Disconnect the cooling fan multiplug and detach its cable from the radiator.

16. Remove the radiator side shields.

CAUTION:

Do not overstretch the air conditioning pipes.

17. Separate the air conditioning radiator from the engine cooling radiator.

NOTE:

Air conditioning radiator slides upwards out of retaining brackets.

All vehicles
18. Remove the radiator.
Install
Vehicles with air conditioning

19. If a new radiator is to be fitted transfer the cooling fan assembly.
All vehicles
20. Refit the components in the reverse order.
21. Refill the cooling system (refer to Operation Number 24 122 0).
22. Reconnect the battery negative lead.
