Removal and Installation Removal CAUTION:If brake fluid is spilt on the paintwork, the affected area must be immediately washed down with cold water. All Vehicles | -
Drain the brake fluid reservoir. - Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.
| Vehicles with Anti-Lock Control | -
NOTE:Cap the clutch master cylinder supply hose to prevent fluid loss or dirt ingress. Disconnect the supply hose from the clutch master cylinder. | | -
NOTE:Cap the clutch master cylinder to prevent fluid loss or dirt ingress. Disconnect the clutch slave cylinder supply line from the clutch master cylinder. - Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

Remove the clutch master cylinder retaining nuts. | | -
Detach the clutch master cylinder actuating rod from the clutch pedal. - Remove the washer and the clip.

Remove the clutch master cylinder. | | -
Detach the clutch master cylinder from the retaining bracket, turn the clutch master cylinder counterclockwise. | Vehicles without Anti-Lock Control | -
CAUTION:Cap the clutch master cylinder hose to prevent fluid loss or dirt ingress. Disconnect the supply hose from the clutch master cylinder. | | -
Disconnect the pipe from the clutch master cylinder. - Allow the fluid to drain into a suitable container.

Detach the clutch master cylinder from the bulkhead. - Rotate it clockwise through 90 degrees.

Detach the clutch master cylinder actuating rod from the clutch pedal. | | -
Remove the clutch master cylinder. | Installation | -
To install, reverse the removal procedure. | |
