Removal and Installation

Special Tool(s)
100-010
Remover, O-Ring Seal
General Equipment
2 mm punch

Removal

  1. Remove the following items:
    1. Refer to: Engine Front Cover (303-01A Engine - 2.3L Duratec-HE (MI4), Removal and Installation).

  1.  
    1. Special Tool(s): 100-010
    1. General Equipment: 2 mm punch

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Counterhold the camshafts at the hexagon using an open-ended spanner to prevent the camshafts from turning.

  1. General Equipment: 2 mm punch

Installation
  1. General Equipment: 2 mm punch
    Torque: 10 Nm

  1. Torque: 10 Nm

  1. NOTE:
    NOTE:Only tighten the bolts finger tight at this stage.

  1. General Equipment: 2 mm punch

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Counterhold the camshafts at the hexagon using an open-ended spanner to prevent the camshafts from turning.
    Torque: 72 Nm
  1. Install the following items:
    1. Refer to: Engine Front Cover (303-01A Engine - 2.3L Duratec-HE (MI4), Removal and Installation).
