Removal and Installation

Removal

NOTE:
NOTE:Removal steps in this procedure may contain installation details.
  1. Remove the catalytic converter.
    Refer to: Catalytic Converter - 2.4L Duratorq-TDCi (Puma) Diesel/3.2L Duratorq-TDCi (Puma) Diesel (309-00 Exhaust System, Removal and Installation).

  1. CAUTION:
    CAUTION:Make sure that the inside of the pipe ends are clean and free of oil residue.
    1. Torque: 23 Nm
    1. Torque: 10 Nm
    1. Torque: 6 Nm
    1. Discard the nuts.
      Torque: 23 Nm
  1. Lower the vehicle.

  1.  
    1. Torque: 35 Nm
    1. Torque: 25 Nm
    1. Discard the nut.
      Torque: 23 Nm

  1. Discard the studs.

Installation

  1. To install, reverse the removal procedure.
