General Procedures

Special Tool(s)

Aligner, Gearshift Lever

All vehicles
  1. Remove the gearshift console cover.

  1. Release the selector cable adjuster.
Vehicles with 5-speed manual transmission
  1. Using the special tool, lock the gear lever in 3rd/4th gear position.
  1. Shift the lever into 4th gear.
Vehicles with 6-speed manual transmission

  1. Using the special tool, lock the gear lever in 1st/2nd gear position.
  1. Shift the lever into 2nd gear.
All vehicles
  1. Raise and support the vehicle.

Vehicles with 5-speed manual transmission
  1. Ensure that 4th gear is engaged in the transmission.
Vehicles with 6-speed manual transmission
  1. Ensure that 2ndgear is engaged in the transmission.
All vehicles
  1. Lower the vehicle.

  1. Lock the selector cable adjuster.

  1. Remove the special tool.

  1. Install the gearshift console cover.
