Seat Belt: Service and Repair
Second Seat Belt

CAUTION:  Check the second seat belts for damage, and replace them if necessary. Be careful not to damage them during removal and installation.

Second seat belt removal 

1. Remove/move seat.

Removable-type second seat: Remove it through the door opening.

Bench-type second seat: Fold it up.

2. Remove the rear door sill molding, then pull away the rear door trim as necessary.
3. Pull the lower anchor cover back.
4. With a 17 mm socket or box-end wrench, remove the lower anchor bolt.
5. Remove the rear trim panel, then remove the rear side trim panel.

6. Remove the upper anchor cover.
7. With a 17 mm socket or box-end wrench, remove the upper anchor bolt, retractor bolt, and the retractor mounting bolt, then remove the second 

seat belt and retracting portion of it.

8. Installation is the reverse of the removal procedure.
