7. Remove Allen bolt securing pulley arm to 

spring tensioner, withdraw arm assembly.

8. Remove 2 bolts securing A/C pipes to 

compressor. Release pipes from compressor.

CAUTION: Always fit plugs to open 
connections to prevent contamination.

9. Remove and discard 'O' rings from A/C pipes.

10. Remove bolt securing intercooler hose support 

bracket to compressor and move aside.

11. Disconnect multiplug from compressor.

12. Remove bolt securing compressor earth lead, 

move lead aside.

13. Remove bolt securing rear of compressor to 

mounting, release compressor from dowels 
and remove from vehicle.

Refit

1. If a new compressor is being installed, drain the 

required amount of refrigerant oil from the new 
compressor.

Conditioning System Precautions.

2. Ensure mating faces of A/C pipes and 

compressor are clean.

3. Clean compressor and mounting bracket 

mating faces.

4. Ensure rear bolt is fitted to compressor, locate 

compressor onto dowels and finger tighten bolt.

5. Fit bolt and intercooler support bracket to 

compressor.

6. Fit bolt and secure compressor earth lead.
