CONDITION SUMMARY:
SLOW ACCELERATION FROM A STANDING START
Situation:
With the engine at normal operating temperature, a customer may report a concern of an intermittent hesitation when accelerating from a standing start.
This situation is most likely to be experienced in very hot ambient temperatures.
The acceleration can recover when engine speed exceeds approximately 2000 rpm or after a few seconds/feet of travel.
Action:
Should a customer express a concern, refer to the Repair Procedure detailed in this bulletin to re-configure the Engine Control Module (ECM) using the
Integrated Diagnostic System (IDS).
