Lifter / Lash Adjuster: Component Tests and General Diagnostics
Measure the valve tappet diameter. The valve tappet diameter should be 15.947-15.957 mm (0.6278-0.6282 inch).
Measure the rocker arm shaft support bore. The rocker arm shaft support bore should be 16.000-16.013 mm (0.6299-0.6304 inch).
Subtract the valve tappet diameter measurement from the rocker arm shaft support bore measurement.
The valve tappet-to-rocker arm shaft support clearance should not exceed 0.043-0.066 mm (0.0017-0.0026 inch).
