The ABS-ECU illuminates the ABS warning light on start-up. It turns the light off after 3 seconds when the ABS-ECU completes the self-check.

Damaged wiring harness or connector

Malfunction of the ABS-ECU

Malfunction of the combination meter
DIAGNOSIS
STEP 1. Check the brake warning light circuit at ABS-ECU connector E-106.
Disconnect ABS-ECU connector E-106.
Q: Does the brake warning light still keep on illuminating
YES: Go to Step 2.
NO: Replace the ABS-ECU and then go to Step 4.
STEP 2. Check the combination meter connector D-03 and the ABS-ECU connector E 106.
Q: Is any of the connectors damaged?
YES: Repair it and then go to Step 4.
NO: Go to Step 3.
STEP 3. Check the harness wires between combination meter connector D-03 and the ABS-ECU connector E-106.
