Inspection

1. Clean all parts in suitable solvent and inspect parts for damage.
2. Inspect bearings for damage or wear.
3. Inspect centering sphere for nicks, damage or wear. If damage is found, check shaft couplings for nicks, burrs or rough spots.
4. Inspect actuator housing, shift lever bowl and support for cracks or other damage.
5. Inspect turn signal switch for distorted, broken or damaged parts.
6. Inspect horn and turn signal switch wires for worn or bare spots.
7. Inspect steering shaft and gearshift tube for loose or broken plastic shear joints.
