Removal

1. Place the gear case in a press.
2. Press out the bearing race with sleeve tool No. 87 91 311, or equivalent.

Installation

Turn the case over and insert the bearing race using a plastic hammer.

Press in the new bearing race until stop with driver tool No. 87 90 800, or equivalent, and use sleeve tool No. 87 91 188, or equivalent, as
support.

Selector Shaft Bushes

NOTE:  Component identifier numbers used in the following illustrations relate to specific steps in the procedures below.

CAUTION:

The bushes for the selector shafts should be removed before cleaning the gear case.

Certain detergents could destroy the bushes.

Removal

1. Using driver tool 87 91 238, or equivalent, carefully tap out the three bushes in the gear case and the bush for the selector shaft in the clutch case.
