6. Remove the following components from the generator control module.

Fusible link nut (1)

Fusible link bolt (2)

7. Remove the fusible link cable from the generator control module.
8. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle  (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair) .

9. Disconnect the positive cable (1) from the starter.

10. Remove the positive battery cable from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

Important:  Route the positive battery cable the same way as originally installed.

1. Install the positive battery cable to the vehicle and position accordingly.
